About La Mision

La Misión, a village where traditional Mexican culture and expatriate communities exist side by side yet seldom intertwine, is a study in contrasts. Located a mere 41 miles south of the San Ysidro border along Baja California's Gold Coast, this village offers a unique blend of cultural experiences.

At the heart of La Misión lies its proud agricultural heritage. Here, Mexican families toil tirelessly in the fields, upholding generations-old farming practices that form the backbone of the local economy. Despite their unwavering dedication, many of these families face significant financial challenges. The fruits of their labor, while vital, often fall short of lifting them out of poverty.

In stark contrast, expatriate communities in the vicinity enjoy a different lifestyle, often disconnected from the day-to-day struggles of these local farmers. This juxtaposition highlights a broader narrative of disparity and resilience.

Our project aims to bridge this divide by focusing on the children of La Misión’s agricultural community. We seek to bring joy and hope to these young lives, offering support that extends beyond the holiday season. Through educational resources, gifts, and community engagement, we strive to acknowledge their hard work and uplift their spirits.

Join us in our commitment to nurturing the dreams of La Misión's children. Together, we can help sow a future where hard work is rewarded, and cultural divides are bridged with understanding and support. This Christmas, let's unite to celebrate the spirit of giving and community in La Misión.
